College & Career Fit
Choosing the right college starts with knowing the right direction. Too many families start shopping for schools before identifying the career that fits their student’s strengths, goals, and lifestyle.
Start With Career Fit
Before comparing colleges, help your student explore what kind of work truly fits them. Not every great career requires a four-year degree. Many trades and technical paths offer high income, stability, and satisfaction without the heavy debt that often comes with traditional college.
Taking time to understand your student’s interests, aptitudes, and values can save years of frustration and thousands of dollars. Once a direction is clear, the college—or training path—becomes a strategic decision, not a guessing game.
Then Choose the Right College Value
Not all colleges are equal. Paying $60,000 per year for the same degree another school offers for $10,000 per year rarely makes financial sense. Smart families focus on value: programs with strong outcomes, generous aid, and clear pathways to employment.
In the coming months, I’ll share a short guide to help families compare schools based on outcomes, affordability, and return on investment—not just brand name or location.
